Well it look like charlie is going to keep his long ears, Massachusetts doesn't let you dock the ears anymore and because he is older he has to be attended too more frequently be cause he will fight it we have decided to let it go. Not to mention the border state vets have jacked the hell out of the price to do it. I would have liked to have them cropped but It really doesn't matter. I'm sure Charlie would prefer his ears the way they are
Well he'll be pain free and that is a good thing .not to mention all the work you saved.like chancing the dressing or keeping him from scraching his ears and stuff like that.I mean I know they look awesome with their ears done but what can you do?he'll still be the great dog that he is.enjoy him.
PS: Can you tell I am a huge dobbie fan? :D
Well I'm going to see a surgeon Monday so I still have another chance to get them done so wee will just have to see. My vet told me He is a perfect candidate for the procedure because of his temperament.
By the way Twix a Doberman is the 1 large breed dog that con live in a small place. They have no problem with apartment living and they don't Bark. I will say that I have had them Howell from time to time. My last Doibie was doing it and I didn't know for years. My neighbor told me one day and I was so surprised.
Originally posted by Twix I think I'm gonna go for the redish/brown Doberman. You seen them before?
That is a Red Twix, AKC recognizes 4 colors, Black, Red, Blue, & Fawn. There is a White Doberman too but there genetic defects are so bad that there breeding is highly discouraged. they have to be marked properly too. the eye brows the feet, chest and lower jaw line and the bottom of the tail are Brown or Tan
Originally posted by Timber well there done, Charlie got his ears cut today. He seems to be doing ok but I can't help feeling a little bad for him
He will be ok! He will thank you for it later in life when other dogs see how intimidating he looks and bow to his presence! Post some pics when they heal!
