Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

About oh two months ago I was weighing aroung 225-228 with about 18-20%BF. Since then I have changed up my training regimine, about to give doggcrap training a go, as well as increasing cardio and eating correctly, ie, 3000 cals from clean food. I typically stay away from scales as i go by the mirror and BF but the other day I weighed myself after my shower and morning dump and I was hitting 235. I weighed this morning and I am was about 233-234. What the hell? I know I am not gaining bodyfat as my waist is slowly shrinking to the point that I have to go buy a new belt. I am also natural so I have nothing to help me gain. Is this natural to put on close to 5 pounds in just two months or am I just getting fat?

you said you changed your training style, it's a good possibility that sparked some new muscle growth. If your waist is shrinking and your gaining weight, it sure isn't fat your gaining.

bro, why would you ask if you are gaining fat if your waist is shrinking dramatically and your weight is going up. how would we know anyway unless you had some pics.

I'm feeling you man-I have gained a couple (5) pounds in the last two months and although my waist size hasn't changed appreciably, my Tanita BF% scale tells me my bf has gone up about 1%. I don't know what to think. I'm gonna get some calipers and start using those in addition to the scale. I agree-it's really hard to tell unless you could have one of those dunk tanks in your basement to get a really accurate measurement of BF%.

To be honest mate, trust what you see in the mirror, all these methods of measuring bodyfat are rubbish, especially the scales. The most accurate way (thats not going to involve putting a high tech water tank in your back garden) is with calipers and getting the same person to take your reading every time. But even with those theres a pretty big element of error. Just go by the mirror.

I am going to post some pics here tonight or tomorrow.

Plus I know it's not fat weight just a little gremlin of doubt in the ear being that I have busted my ass since June to get where I am now.
