lol - anyway - i still don't want anyone sticking a tube of water up my hiney.
Parasites and bacteria are not related. Parasites aren't good, some bacteria is good. A colonic flushes out both good and bad bacteria, but they give you good bacteria to put back in there via pills.

Trust me, i'm the last person who would be open minded about doing something like this, but if your best friend was dying of colon cancer, you'd be more open minded to listen to the doctors and realized how important it is to maintain a healthy colon.

Geez, now I feel like I should use some of my remaining cafeteria (flex) plan money to get this done. I don't know if I like the idea of anything going the wrong way on my one way street, but I also don't like the idea of colon cancer. Is there a certain age that you should start having these done. Obviously, children don't need them, but what age should you start considering it?

              You saw worms come out?

That's not normal, I don't care what the minimum wage monkey running the shit-a-tron 2000 said. If you have worms in your intestines you have a serious fucking disorder. Flat worm, hook worm, tape worm etc...are not native to the human body. If they said that was normal I would have clenched my ass and ran to a real doctor ASAP!

The woman I go to for deep tissue massage recommends the colonics. After what Keiser said I'm thinking I'll check into it. My mom just had colon cancer, I've had a colonoscopy because I have diverticulitis but they couldn't get it all the way through because it's so twisted like my mom's and I've got polyps...gotta go in for a re-check this year, I'll be 39 in May, makes sense to get rid of the junk in there I guess. Besides, I have no qualms about something going in my ass, I'd rather it be my husband's dick or a toy but a water hose will due. LOL

i recognize the importance of maintaining a healthy colon and i think it's a great thing that you're mindful of it. but i would as house1 does (when i get of age) get colonoscopies. but i still don't see the benefits of a colonic. they don't flush you're intestines out from your hind-end when you go for a colonoscopy, but you've seen the footage from those cameras - where's all the impacted stuff? nowhere.

they can see the colon wall and look for polyps without colonics. i just don't see where the medical benefit of it is... did your doctors recommend it?

btw - i'm just trying to say that if you're concerned about colon health, i hope that colonics are not the only avenue you're employing to stay healthy. that regular checkups and recommended colonoscopies are more important that getting flushed out.

I agree with that, a healthy diet high in fiber, colonoscopies, & checkups are important, but

How can you have such a strong opinion on something you've never done before? Yes my doctor recommended to do at least one per year, especially if you have a stubborn colon, which I do.

I've been there first hand experience, I don't know whether or not it helps with colon cancer, i'm not a doctor, I can just tell you how great I felt afterwards, and I truely believe there are many health benefits to doing it. One of the main things for me is that my frequent headaches stopped.

I love it how we have a bunch of know it alls around here.

They didn't say it was "normal" to have parasites, but they did say the majority of the population do have them and don't even know about it. Luckily the colonic uncovered this in my situation and I was able to do something about it.

Do you have parasites? I'm sure you can't answer that because you've never been checked for them.

"It freaked me out but they told me 90% of people have all sorts of worms and parasites in their colon and small intestines, so if I didn't have any parasites in there it would have been rare."

In Malaysia or Guatemala maybe 90% of the people do....

Well, I don't have any symptoms associated with having parasitic worms ie. pinworms, tapeworms. So nope, I've never been tested for them. Sorry if I came across as a know it all, but having a Dad that's a vet, a brother who is a Radiologist and several RN's in the family we kinda grew up talking about medical issues at the dinner table. While certain geographical locations, vocations or behaviors can make it easier to get them, I don't think it's something 9 out of 10 people in the US suffer from.

You are flushed out for a colonoscopy. It is ingested though and works it's way through. It takes HOURS to do and afterwards you are left feeling rather weak.

I woke up in the middle of my colonoscopy and got to see the monitor, all pink and shiny in there.
