I have butteflies across my back, 2 pink and one blue, the blue one is in the middle and there's a pink one on either side of the blue one connected by a black swirly design. Don't think you want butterflies though.

Find something meaningful that you can grow old with.

Mine symbolizes two things, one is my daughter and I (we're the pink butterflies) on either side of my husband (the blue butterfly). The other meaning is for my g/f and I on either side of my husband for 3-somes. :3some:

I have a cool design "based on" the designs by a new zealand artist(they are copyrighted)-tattooed on my lower back-it was my divorce present to myself. After my next competition,I am getting the japanese kanji for "strong woman" tattooed across my traps.I agree with puddles-make it special-you'll be stuck with it.don't do like this guy I saw in a restaurant with"motherf###er "tattooed around his neck like a necklace.Bad decision.the link below is to that website for those designs-there are some very cool armband designs moniques tattoo designs

Tattoo's are a very personal choice. What things are very important to you? What do you have a passion for ? Do you want to convey an idea or feeling ?

                A few pointers.

Don't just pick one off a wall in a tattoo shop, real tattoo artists are just that artists. Ask to see his portfolio.

I paid 50.00 for the artist to make a drawing based on my idea. The money went toward the price of the piece.

Don't go cheap - it will be on you forever.

                Here's mine.

If you have competed in bodybuilding before,do you find that tattoos detract or score negatively with the judges?I was really reluctant to get an armband for that reason

Yeah my first tat I picked out of a book when I was 18. I really didn't think much about it just wanted to get it done. I regret not putting more thought into it now, but still think it's cool. So after that the rest were all my design.

take some time and think of on it... dont just pick something generic that you will not have any connection to 15 years from now.
