  • in alot of pain

i pulled something in my back at work yesterday--

i was swinging a sledge hammer missed what i was pounding and tried to stop the momentum of the hammer-- i was soaking wet so that didnt help-

my neck started to bother me -- i have 2 disks out so i figured i just tweaked them abit-

well fuck me this morning i cant pick my arms up over my head without being in severe pain, shit it hurts to breath-

from the base of my neck -through the right side of my back [upper half] fucking kills me-

any left arm movement hurts it , its not to bad when i move my right arm! i can move my head side to side with no pain but if i tilt it forward -- fuck me -drop you to your knees

i went and did light legs and came home and took a real hot shower. it helped big time-

i have to run out and get a heating pad-

i have back on monday -- will have to wait and see how it feels

    this really sucks:(

Neck injuries are no joke. DO NOT play around with it. Let it heal. If at any point you get numbness, shooting pain or tingling in your arms or hands, see a doc right away.

I would just take off from the gym until you feel better. No use in making it worse.

keep training smart and skip the back day bro.. I'd rather skip 1 back day and make sure everything is a o k, then hitting back hard(which im sure you do) and be out for weeks maybe months

I'm with NewMass on this one. Take it easy and let yourself heal.

Pick up some epsom salts and pour them into a hot bath. Soak. Relax. Rest.

        Hope ya feel better soon.

Yeah let that shit heal. I tweaked my neck a couple weeks ago and worked out through it and i still have some pain back there when i try to turn my neck all the way.

Heat is good for easing muscle spasms but if a disc is out, it would be good to ice it for the first few days to reduce swelling in the area..

Anti-inflamatories will help ease pressure on the nerves too instead of just masking the pain like some pain meds do.

Skip back this week and maybe even shoulders.

              Hope you feel relief quidkly!
