Teams: Southern Mississippi (6-5) vs North Texas (7-4)
My Play: Southern Mississippi -4.5
Both teams are 7-4 ATS, but SM is 4-2 ATS awau whereas NT is only 3-3. In the last 2 years, UNT has won 1 Out of Conference Game, Baylor last year. This year, they even lost to Florida Atlantic. Once they got into conference-play, however, they dominated. UNT seems to struggle with Out of Conference opponents. Granted, Jamario Thomas will be healthy and is a great runner, they are going to need a lot more than 180 yards on the ground to keep this game close, an that is all SM has allowed with a slew of much tougher opponents. UNT has struggled on defense all year long. UNT is in a very similar situation as they were last year. They went undefeated in conference pla and then Memphis stomped them in the New Orleans Bowl, 27-17, their first out of conference matchup since September.
