try to keep a natural tan year round? If so does your climate allow it or do you spend the bucks on going to a salon?

I used a tanning bed twice a week for 2 yrs. to keep a nice tan year-round until I got skin cancer. Now if I want a tan I go to the spray booth but I don't keep it up all the time because it's a PIA to deal with. I don't like being fair, but such is life.

Same happened here Puddles. I used to keep a nice color through the winter, I even have a bed at home, however cancer runs in my family ( skin cancer too) and I have already had a small bout with it. So now I stay chalky white, sucks, but at least I am alive

I'm in PA too brother. I actually have a tanning bed in my house. I use it about once a week to keep some color. It comes in handy when I'm training for a show. Saves a lot of money and it is very convenient to have at home.Originally posted by Severedties
I used to when i lived in california.
In Pennslyvania it is impossible.

I don't care for the heavily tanned look. I prefer just a natural color from indirect sunlight. Not intentionally "laying out" or visiting a tanning salon. If you exercise regularly and eat a balanced diet with veggies that have tons of caratenoids, the skin will always looks healthier in the long term as you age and you won't run the risk of skin cancer.
