I was doing back last night and was just doing some barbell shrugs to finish off the Traps when on the 8th rep of the last set, there was a loud pop sound from the back of my neck..... I knew something was wrong and unloaded the weights. Within ten minutes my neck and right side of my upper back tightened up to where I had to sleep on the floor without a pillow..
anybody else ever have this and what is the best approach to dealing with it? I iced it right away, but today I have very little mobility in my neck.
I called the doctor and they can't get me in until next Wed. afternoon.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
