First reports stated he had a heart attack, then that he died from sleep apnea--suffocated I guess. I've never heard of anyone dying from sleep apnea. At any rate, what a loss. BB

Damn YJ I had no idea of that. I have had sleep apnea for about 5 years that I know of anyways. I tell ya man, it is next to impossible to sleep with that cpap machine. I did for about 1 year and then lost a bunch of weight and did not need it at the time. I could use it now, but Im kinda embarassed to put that contraption on my head with my wife, who is young, beautiful and healthy. Getting old sucks boys, no matter how you slice it.
Sucks that Reggie died at such a young age. His family will need our prayers. R. I. P.

i thought reggie white was a great football player and a great man. His faith was strong, very spiritual, very many friends. i was really saddened by what had happened and his family will be in my prayers.

I spent a lot of time at UT and knew Reggie for a long time. I live in Memphis and was here around him when he played with the Showboats. Reggie got me to change parts of my life and I moved into the ministry about the time he did. I don't always walk the conservative line but I do the best I can. My one vice is a love to lift, be big, and hang with folks like me. Even if it means doing what some people may call shortcuts but I call using every advantage available, and you folks know what I mean. It was said today that he gave so much of his heart to others that it gave out. I like others will miss him dearly. Rest my friend see you again some day.

i've got apnea and i didn't think it was possible to die from it. that is kinda messed up, scary in ways. i suppose that if a person was usuing certain tranquilizers or pain meds, your body wouldn't jumpstart repiration and wake you up. but i wonder if that is even possible.

i sleep using a cpap machine, i have very bad apnea-

and yes you can die from it -- it can cause heartattack or a stroke

i also sleep with a cpap machine. i just felt that it was kind of odd that he died from it.
