Beautiful family you have there DG. Glad to see you have had a wonderful holiday ( by the smiles on those kido's). Enjoy the snow, it makes Christmas perfect for children IMO.

    PD

We got 8" at my grandparents in Freeport Texas which is south of Galveston and about 5 minutes from the beach. Still had snow down there this morning three days later. For Texas that is crazy. I have never driven down to the beach and saw fields of solid white snow south of Houston.
Yeah I was in that same area, angleton actually. I lived down there on the coast my whole life and never saw any snow. 8 inches was crazy. I tried to make a snowman but didn't have the slightest idea how, so it looked like shit. lol

OMG...that's too funny! I can picture you trying to do this. :)

If the snow is really dry it won't work. It's gotta be damp enough for the snowflakes to stick together. You start off by making a snowball, then packing on more snow to make it bigger. Once you have a decent size ball you start rolling it on the ground in the snow to pack on more snow so the size of the ball grows. Once it's done and in place you make others and pile them together, then take some handfulls of snow to pack onto the balls to smooth them out and make the snowman pretty. Decorate with stuff like a carrot for a nose and coals for eyes and the mouth, some sticks or small branches for arms. Don't forget to give him a hat and scarf, it's cold out there at night. ;)

Hmmm... A good How To paper there. ;)

Too bad I don't think I'll have another chance to put it to use for the rest opf my life unless I move.

It was funny as hell though driving down 288... You would see cars in the ditches from ice and then little snow men right next to them, along with random snow men on the shoulders of the road. (This is a damn near straight road to nowhere in nowhere) Also saw cars pulled over at overpasses with kids sliding down the hills since it's the only hills Houston has.

 My sone is the same way DG! All of Christmas day he would spit out his pacifier as soon as the camera came out! We have had several people tell us to take Chase to a modeling agency! He loves the camera!
