Bro...I don't know if you have a wife and kids but just think of the time you are adding to your life by quitting! If you did by chance smoke around your family think about the years you were taking off of their lives by doing so and now that you are quitting the years you are giving back to them! Have you tried the patch or the gum yet? Don't know if those things are worth a damn but they may help!

Sorry man, just being honest. If something bad happens to someone that is out of their control, then I can sympathize with them.

Find other things to do that are not "quiet" time. You need to be out of stressful situations but also you want to do things that keep you preoccupied.

Update: Starting day 6 smoke free. Thanks to those who have offered support. I've read it before too but whoever said that all nicotine is out of your body in 72 hours is so full of shit they should be shot. Days 4 and 5 WAY worse than 1-3. I also have little sympathy (usually) for those who bring this kind of stuff on themselves, but the next time I get called to some junkie or some strung out mf because they're having withdrawals or dt's or some other screwed up shit because they ran out of dope, well now I know sorta how they feel. My nose is startin to work better already cause I passed by this woman at Krogers and DAMN she smelled good. Unfortunately while at the same store I smelled ass from another one a couple of aisles over. I'll continue updates for a couple of weeks for those who are interested along with some things that have been helpfull for me. Might be of some use for anyone else interested in giving up this disgusting habit.

Keep up the good work. I think it's fantastic that you're willing to share this with everyone. It can help someone else who's trying to quit as well as give some insight to people who don't smoke but have someone they know quitting.

Good luck and take one day at a time.
