I not only wouldn't allow my daughter out of the house in something like that, I wouldn't allow my son to go with a girl dressed like that. Any girl going to the prom in that outfit has the morals of an ally cat and only god knows how many STD's she has been exposed to.

Oh no, I wouldn't let my daughter wear that if I had one but if I had a son, I wouldn't allow him to date those kind of girls.

I also believe that if a 17 yr old girl is willing to show that much skin, there is probably something wrong in her life... like she was abused or something. I love sexy clothes, but even I wouldn't wear that (the 1st one)
The 2nd red one is just a HAIR less revealing than the very first one!!! I'm not trying to flame you or anything, but I don't understand how you would allow her to wear that. The ruffled ones are a tad but better, but the slit goes all the way up to the ass!!!

                    Spidey said it best.

But isn't your last statement pretty rhetorical from what you said earlier in the post??? You say you'd let her wear 2 of the 3 dresses.... But if she is willing to show that much skin, there is something wrong with the home life. Well, that doesn't say much about you, does it.

Again, I'm not trying to flame you or tell you how to raise your children, but don't you think those statements sound pretty hipocritical?

Those other examples are simply hideous. Why bother wearing a freaking dress?

Furthermore, teenage clothing nowadays is completely out of control. These girls are wearing jeans that aren't even 6 inches about the kitty, so when they bend over or sit down, you get to see their lovely G string hang out. Better yet- some jeans or pants they dont' even have to bend over to see it. The skirts that barely cover are just as bad. They are wearing half shirts so their love handles hang out the bottom and over their jeans. It is truly disgusting. But, if the designers keep making it, kids will continue to buy it.

No wonder our teenage pregancy rate is higher than any other country. The next generation has lost total respect for themselves and would rather look sexy and slutty than classy. The styles have gotten so skimpy that parents are now desensitized as to what is truly acceptable.

oh god that's like saying video game violence is the cause of real life violence. "kids" are fucked up nowadays because of their parents' upbringing. everyone's afraid to discipline a child because it would be considered abuse to hit them. (now to save you all the trouble keep in mind that i'm referring to proper discipline and NOT actual abuse) this "time out", and "oh i think he/she knows they did wrong now go to your room" crap isn't doing anything but let them walk all over the parents.

well at least you're keeping an open mind about it. i agree the dresses may be too revealing but in which one does the model look like a slut?

Odds are the dress, (or lack thereof) is gonna end up on the floor in somebody hotel room after the prom anyway.
