    i got 9 stiches in the forhead on sat night, when should i lift. Damn foot of snow and captain morgans.

      I would def. wait till your stiches get removed. Dont worry you wont lose any size aslong as you eat right. You might actually come back stronger cause of the rest.

                yeah, kind of sucks, i miss my cardio. As for the drinking, diet pepsi and rum has no calories so they claim. And whats a bot to do? not drink...how boring

                  from what my nutrition book state that alchol has 7 calories per gram. The explanation on this was pretty vague. other than that how much you drink depends on how serious you are. i drink occasionally, yeah it is kind of boring but i servive. i also have no self control when it comes to alcohol so it is better to not drink.

                  hopefully someone can help me out here and explain the calories per gram bit.

                    i would love to know also. I drink too much, Monday thrue thrusday i eat great and work out and sleep, friday and sat night i drink A LOT, still eat well though, and fit one more workout in. Then sunday i eat pretty dirty. I would like to know the cal count in alchohol. Oh yeah its rare that i drink any beers.

                      From what I remember in Nutrition class, a gram does have 7 calories, but that is pure alcohol, which you don't drink (I hope!). I believer a general rule is that sprits have about 50-60 cal. per ounce, but most people drink more than than in a mixer. But alcohol does interfere with how your body burns fat- a small amount of it turns to fat, the rest is converted to acetate, I think, by the liver- that is then used by your body for fuel before the fat is used.
                      You aren't getting any carbs, though!

                          alcohol slows down your metabolism hence "beer bellies". it also dehydrates your body including muscles which we all know need to be properly hydrated. not sure about capt morgans but a diet coke with bacardi light has around 66 calories only. which isn't as bad considering that most beers range between 95-110 calories. you should be more concerned with the fact that you are a binge drinker. you "drink A LOT" on the weekends and eat like crap on sunday. not exactly helping your diet is it? it pretty much puts you right back where you were the monday before the weekend. not trying to sound like a dick i myself was/am a binge drinker. i can't just have a couple i needed to get DRUNK. it is a sign of alcoholism. yes believe it or not.

                            it's not the carbs though. look at a beer, it probably has between 3-6gms each, but at 100 cals 10 beers is 1000 emtpy calories while only 30-60carbs. think of the meal you could've eaten at 1000 calories.
