Thanks for posting that....awesome stuff. When Tyson was in his prime, he was the best heavyweight EVER. I've never seen a heavyweight that could throw three and four punch combos with that kind of speed AND power.
I dont know about that... i say him at his prime vs. ali.. ali would win... ali was too smart for tyson to take him, ali always plaid mind games with his opponent and thats why i think he could take tyson. i think tyson was the second best heavyweight ever

How does being smart protect you from a man much stronger AND faster than you charging across the ring and throwing a four-punch combo where any one of the shots can KO you? Ali was far too willing to take shots....with Tyson in his prime, even a short hook was enough to lay a man out.

nah... tyson wouldnt even be able to take him... just like the rock said in the rundown... hes too fast, tyson wouldnt be able to hit him like that, ali would be stupid enough to try to slug it out with him.. hed move around throwin jabs wearin tyson down... then bam... hed lay him out.. ali was the greatest

I don't think Tyson was faster than Ali, Ali was renowned for his quick movement.... But one thing I do think is that its pointless comparing fighters from one generation to another because people will never reach a unanimous answer and there is no fair means of comparison, there are too many other factors.

By the way, anyone got Tyson's stats from when he was in his prime?

It's dangerous shit. I've done it back in the day and whenever I go back to that exercise I pinch a nerve in my upper neck area and am fucked for 3 days with chiropractor treatment

if his mentor Custumodo (sp) would have lived longer Tysons reign would have lasted longer. He could keep Tyson reeled in. when he passed no one could keep the leeches away.. Tyson beat most of his opponents long before he got in the ring. when a man is beatin (afraid) in his mind he can be destroyed in the ring and thats exactly how tyson was able to crush people. once he lost that he could be beatin by smart fighters.

Not sure about all that phsycological stuff, I think a man can be more dangerous when afraid.

no no i agree fear can make a person more dangerous but a lot of his opponents seemed to have a timid fear. that fear that gets you when backed in a corner and you have no choice but be agressive, i whole heartedly agree can be dangerous and work in your favor. watch some of his old bouts though. those guys just wanted to get out of there. game plans thrown to the side, runnin as best they could. i know how i want to say this just gettin it out is the problem. some of those guys acted like they were standin in front of a water hose tryin to deflect the water.
