I am laying one unit to win five units on Leija tonight. (+490)
This may very well be the last time this warrior enters the ring, and from the interviews I have heard from him over the last 3 months, I believe his mind has been solely focused on this fight. He is used to being the underdog, he realizes that he is not as talented as many in his weight classifications, but yet because of the way he lives he has extended his career to a time when most boxers are starting to become vegetables.
Gatti is looking towards Mayweather and the payday. He lives the fast life both in and out of the ring. Granted he has become a much smarter boxer over the past several years, but I think he is looking to June.
Even if Leija wins tonight, I think there is a 50/50 shot he retires and does not fight Mayweather. Money is not a factor as he has not thrown his money away.
Next week on Wednesday he has scheduled a press conference to announce the start of one of the biggest charity organizations he says San Antonio has ever seen. He has not released any details about it, but seems very excited about being the leader of this organization.
As far as tonight goes, Leija will box, Gatti may box, but he also may slug. If he slugs, I believe Leija will be smart enough to stay away and outpoint him and survive 12 rounds much like he has in his other fights against on the top fighters over the years. If Gatti also boxes then I think Gatti has a good chance of winning. I am putting my money on Gatti not having the disciplin to box the whole fight. Once again, I am not taking anything away from Gatti in terms of being the better fighter. What I am putting my stock in is Leija committment to life and the things he pursues. He is more focused for this fight in my opinion
