Well the time has come to have personal music at the gym. That is the main thing this ipod will be used for. I need something that will not get in my way at all. The mini is 4g and the other one I am looking at is 20g. I really wouldn't ever have to remove stuff off the 20 gig one. The 20g one really isn't that much bigger. Please help anyone that uses one.

i have a 10 gig one and i have so much music on it its ridiculous, and theres still lots of space. Personally, i wouldnt consider the ipod mini. if your opting for a smaller one, go with the new ipod shuffle. it still has 1 gig of space on it except its tiny and dirt cheap, meaning its less of a liability in the gym. Im considering getting one myself, sinse im paranoid im going to drop a weight on my 10 gig or something, which would suck cause they cost a fortune new. -
funny you should ask, i have had a 20 gig layin around and finally set it up last night. unbelievable, downloaded 800 songs in 15 minutes . Just got a new mazda three, cant wait to get the car adapter for it. As for the gym it seems a little big and fragile. I bring a cheap 128 mb mp3 player, very tiny not as expensive. But def get an ipod, 10 15 or 20 gig, i cant wait to be able to bring my whole music library with me anywhere, and its smaller than a can of tuna. Good LuckComment

Go with 20Gb unless you have a huge ass music collection, in which case go for the 40Gb; size differences between them all are not that great, and the higher the memory you go for the best value for money you are getting. Personally, I wouldn't opt for a mini, I went with the 20Gb one.Comment

I looked at the shuffle but I can't stand not having a screen. I am thinking about the 20 gig and a nice case for the gym. Gonna wear it on my waist unless I am squating. I have already got the itrip fm adapter for it, I can't wait to take lots of music everywhere I go.Comment

i was debating this a while back... i ended up buying the mini for my wife and then reposessed it... kinda wish i had the 20G now. there really isnt that much of a size difference. and i just place the ipod on the little shelf on the cardio machines.. otherwise i stuff it in my pocket.Comment

I went and looked today, the size difference between the mini and the 20 gig is not even anything to worry about. I seriously thought the 20 gig was way bigger then it actually is. I would be stupid to not pay an extra 50 bucks for 16 more gigs. I am ordering mine tomorrow I hope.Originally posted by lxorl
