  • Sorness???

    Hello All.

    I just recently started lifting again and i was wondering if it is ok to be really sore for more than a few days.

    EX: Sunday 1/30/05 worked on legs did 3 sets of squats with realativly heavy weights (for me anyways) and 4 sets on the machines where you wrok your hamstrings and quads.

    Yester day i was in great pain and could hardly walk. I couldn't do any cardio after the work out because om my legs being so tight. I tried streching but that didn't help. Today i can walk but it looks like i have some thing up my ass.

    Is this normal I really dont rember being this sore before. It in the past has only lasted 1 day and then it was gone.

    The soreness in my legs is almost never gone in one day after a decent workout. Also I would never do cardio after a leg workout.

    I have found that doing some light cardio-recumbent bike or short jog will loosen up my legs a little, but the pain will come back relatively quickly. Keep with the workouts and the intensity and length of the soreness will get better!

      It's pretty common to be sore for a couple days afterwards. I'm usually sore for around 4 or 5 days after a good leg workout. I'm still pretty sore from my leg workout on friday.

        Cool I thought something was wrong with me. It feels like i pulled every muscle in my leg.

          yep, it will hurt for a few days....especially if you've been off for a while.....

          I remember my first leg workout after taking a hiatus....Oh god did I hurt and it was for days!!!! I couldn't get up after sitting down without wanting to fall down!!!:D I like being sore, I get paranoid if I'm not sore sometimes....:eek:
