It's not about a stereo, it's about performance which this vehicle does not posess for that kind of money.

I like the original Hummer, however, after they were bought by GM and they came out with these other two models I have lost a great deal of respect for the name tag in general.

In my opinion the H2 and H3 are more of a style/yuppy thing.

The original Hummer was something totally different and knowing several guys in the service that have spent a great deal of time in them they have a great deal of respect for them and their offroad abilities.

I agree. No matter what they tell you, you are not getting a military vehicle.

my thoughts exactly! they're pretty powerful are they not? V8 200 some horsepower. The interior is awesome: all leather, on star, DVD navigation system

Here is the deal when you buy an H2 you are actually buying a Chevy Taho with different skin under the skin they share everything like suspention, transmission, engine just slightly more horse power(nothing you can't get with an after market exhaust and a cold air intake)etc.so go head and buy the taho save 20k and use that money to soup up your truck to make it an H2 killer.can you imagine the upgrades you can make with 20k.:D

The H2 is just another SUV....do a search for some crash pictures and you'll see that it is just a 'skin'.

The only reason I'd consider an original Hummer is the safety factor in winter. The original Hummer is practically a tank, and would carry you through nearly any collision. I'd have an extra set of rims with the best snow tires available if money was no object.

the point we are all trying to make is that people are driving around claiming they own a hummer. like stated above, these H2's are not hummers. They are a regular SUV with a hummer like skin.

It is really an injustice for the real HUMMER to even be compared to this H2. It would be like me putting on a dallas cowboy uniform and claiming to be emmit smith. I might have the same uniform but I could never even dream of playing like him. The H2 could never even dream of performing like a real HUMMER.

My buddy had an original hummer and the H2. The H2 is a disgrace to the name. He is selling after only owning it for a couple months because the performance sucks and it is very unreliable-it's been in the shop 3 times already for stupid stuff. The original hummer is great performance for offroading but isn't anything you'd want to take on a road trip-not exactly luxurious! There's a ton of better vehicles you can spend 60K on!

They are a joke. And anyone that drives one is a joke. I've never heard anyone say that someone was cool for driving one, unless they're the 13-19 MTV crowd. If you get an H2 the next thing you'll need will be spinning rims, a VonDutch trucker hat and Livestrong bracelet. You'll be the coolest dude at the high school dance.
