I drive a Honda Accord, 2 door, black, custom leather interior. Nothing fancy but it's reasonably priced, decent on gas, and very reliable. It's my 3rd one and I've never had a problem with them. I would like a convertible next though, not sure which one. I don't like big vehicles.

I've been in one. The owner of the company that my dad runs has one in peweter. The H2. This guy has 2 mercedes and a bunch of perfect 50's classic cars and he always drives the H2. He's 40 years old right now. So that's the only person I personally know who drives one. It's cool and I might have one if I had the money...

I believe that America is pretty much the only country that everyone must have a high end car. I know in Germany, everyone is more worried about how they appear physically and mentally in public than what they drive. I am not so sure I even saw any over weight people there now that I think about it.
A car, unless it is a classic car, is not at all a good investmant. It is a way for people to feel socially accepted when their personality alone cannot do it for them.

Sometimes its not just to keep up with the joneses at all... Building and modifiying cars is a hobby and lifestyle for some of us...Originally posted by Cory
A vehicle is the worst investment a person can make. A very large percentage of the people drive vehicles they really can't afford and can't even pay the rent or buy food, because they have to pay that $600 car note to keep up with the Jones. I drive small economical vehicles until the wheels fall off. This has allowed me to be able to afford any vehicle I want, but I'd rather save that money instead. Trying to impress people with material things shows alot of insecurities.
OK people, that is your counseling tip of the day. Please send your $$$. I can e-mail you my address.

Amen to that man! I'd rather own a 60's or 70's muscle car over alot of these cars today. For example, a nice one to own is an AAR 'Cuda. That thing is a pretty good investment even if it comes in a unique color such as Plumcrazy purple or Panther pink aka Moulin Rouge sometimes.Originally posted by shortz

It's cool to fix up and drive nice cool cars....that's a great hobby. I have a friend who sells cars for a living and some of the rift raft that he gets coming in there trying to trade in a vehicle that they couldn't afford in the first place on something bigger and better. They are totally upside down on their loan on the old car and have absolutely no money saved to put down on the new car. He just laughs quietly to himself and tells them he can't help them. He told me you would not believe how many people live like this.
