  • Dallas Cowboy's (the senior citizens lodge)

I don't know what it is about Jerry Jones looking to just win a single super bowl (which I don't think is possible anyways) instead of building his team for the future. He hires on Parcels who then takes Testaverde as his QB. That didn't work out. Now he has brought on Drew Bledsoe to start the 05-06 season. There has got to be a QB out there that can get it together in a couple years to make a run at the Superbowl. I have a hard time believing that Bledsoe is one of the top 12 QB's in the game. I don't see playoff's in the future of the Cowboys for next year.

Parcells wants Bledsoe not Jones! Jones would rather have Henson starting but Parcells says he is not ready! As I see it....Henson will never be ready if he doesn't get to play more. Jones is trying his best to let Parcells coach the team but you can't keep wasting your money on has-beens! Eventually Jones will put his foot down and Parcells will wind up leaving!

It's hard to know what Henson is capable of cause he got to play less than one full game last year, I think. The game that he did start he was pretty awful, but that's probably pretty typical of first start jitters. I think Parcells probably has seen more of him in practice and has a better feel for the talent this guy has. I also believe in building young talent that you can build a team around but finding the right guy is tough-that's why coaches get fired every year!
Maybe Parcells just wants to speed things up so he can get a ring and retire.

I think Bledsoe is still a pretty good QB

....yet I'm a Bears fan and we haven't had a servicable quarterback in years. So disreguard that last post

They can have him. We don't want him anymore.

 How do you speed things up with an old QB? They should have never let Quincy Carter go!

I didn't mean speed up the team-I meant speed up the timeline to having an experienced QB! I'm not a huge fan of Bledsoe, but there's not any great QBs available and I do think he is probably the best they can get for next year.

 I know what you meant. He will not get a superbowl ring any faster with Bledsoe! His experience doesn't mean he will be any faster with desicion making. They should have looked at Brad Johnson. Of anyone available he has one a ring in the past few years. IMHO!
