I'm a big fan of stainless appliances too. If you have the room for it in your kitchen, consider getting seperate stainless fridge and freezer units; far more convenient and saves having to put a deep freezer chest in the pantry or basement.

Hello, yes when the kitchen was added on to, the wine cooler was planned on. Which is funny because I don't drink wine.

As for stainless... it's neat having them because they are the more desired look in kitchens right at the moment... and they are also JenAir brand ones too. But if they didn't come with the house, white ones would have been probably my first choice... lol, I wouldn't have considered stainless because they cost so much more.

To explain further, we bought my parents house... they put this huge addition on the back making vaulted ceilings and a way bigger kitchen and they never expected to move, but 2 acres of woods in the town we lived in became available and they bought it and built a monster - custom home they had drawn up by an architect. So we bought their house they had just finished adding onto.

They liked the jenair stainless appliances so much they bought the same ones for their new kitchen. The only thing they did different was they bought 2 stoves and put them side by side in the island. That is cool.... something to think about if you are building your own house bouncer.

stainless gets fingerprints on it. my hubby is the one who always seems to be cleaning it with some special cleaner. i think that it stays really clean in general...

I agree about the fingerprints. Gotta clean it 3 times a week. Otherwise, it's great.
