  • HELP for IPod!!

I got an IPod Mini for my birthday, and joined Limewire. However, for some reason it's not possible for me to transfer those music files to the IPod? Is there some way I have to download them somewhere else on my computer and then transfer to the IPod?

RS, you need to go to your library on Limewire where the files are downloaded to and highlight the song you want to open and click on "explore". Then it will show you where the song is actually located on your computer. Click on the song file and that will open it to be played in your itunes. Now you should be able to tranfer it to your ipod from there. Let me know if you have any problems.

The files that I downloaded from Limewire are already showing in my ITunes screen, but it won't allow me to drag them into the IPod....

RS, I just realized that before you opened the song to be played in your itunes, you need to move it from the shared folder to your music folder or it won't stay in there after the first time you play it. I know this is a pain the ass to do all these steps, but it is actually best that you move those files to your own music files so you don't get busted for stealing music. lol ;)

its because you have to do what I said to do in the post I just made. You need to have a copy of the file in your own music folder. Remember to move it, not copy it.

you need to actually open the file again from your music files once you copy it. It may show a double entry so get rid of the other one you opened from the shared folder.

once you plug you ipod into your computer and it picks up the device, you should be able to drag those file manually into your ipod library
