  • Anyone know the avg. price of Invisilign?

With and without insurance if you know please. I go to the site, have ordered the tape, but you have to see an ortho to get any idea on price.

Hey bud, I asked my mother inlaw she's a dental assistant, and she said its an average of $500 without insurance. Now thats canadian prices, Here they are covered by insurance so you would be looking at about $200. Best of luck, not going to be cheap. hope I helped a little.

If that's $500 USD that would be great. I don't have insurance for it and probably won't for a really long time. I was thinking it was going to be in the thousands.

No way in hell you can get invisalign for 500 bucks total.

I had traditional braces for 15 months and it ended up costing about 2 grand. I was under the impression that invisalign cost more than that.

After a quick google search I came up with this:

        Question:
How much would the new Invisilign braces cost to have them for 2 years?
        Answer:
This is what the Invisalign website says: Q: How much does Invisalign? cost? A: As with other types of orthodontic treatment, the cost of Invisalign? is heavily dependent on the complexity of a patient’s case. The cost is generally more expensive than traditional braces, however, since Invisalign? does not dictate what orthodontists charge their patients for treatment, we are unable to provide specific cost information. Invisalign? offers a low monthly payment option through the Orthodontists Fee Plan (OFP). The cost for a typical case under this plan can be as low as $138 per month -- with no down payment.

Invisalign cost varies between $5800 and $6800 but can sometimes be as low as $4000 depending on the difficulty of treatment. Most adults require both upper and lower arch orthodontic treatment. The fee for these cases is usually between $6200 and $6800.

Thanks, guys. I guess it will have to stay put off for a while. Unless I can come into a few grand all of the sudden somehow.

Hey bro, my wife just checked into those instead of traditional braces and her ortho said that most adults do not continue to wear them because they are sooo painful and the fact that you can remove them if it hurts. She said regular braces are much better for most people in the long run, plus you are supposed to wear them 24/7 except to eat and brush your teeth. Best of luck anyway

              PD

                HEY MY HUSBAND HAD INVISIALIGN!!!!!

he had to wear the top ones for 2 years and the bottoms for 3 years... TOTAL COST>>> $5500.

We got a payment plan of $200/mo with the orthodontist.

These also depend on how messed up your teeth are... for me, I couldn't have had them.. I definately had to have braces... my husband, his teeth were not perfect... and these helped straighten them

HONESTLY though, his teeth are still not 100% perfect. THey are better, but not like mine. Braces get your teeth exactly in place. I would definately bite the bullet, get braces for 2 years and pay $2000 and end up with a PERFECT smile. No one will care if you are an adult with braces... my hubby couldn't handle that, so it wasn't even an option... he so much cares about what other people think. TO me it would be a big who cares... especially to get the result of straight teeth.

I remember not being able to eat anyhting for days because my teeth were so sore.
