  • 9.75 body fat at 240lbs

i was at the gym today and they were doin body fat measures so i did mine i weighed in at 240.3 and body fat was 9.75 my question is 9.75 good? and how acurate is the test? (it was calipers that pinched) im also 6-1 37 years old if that matters. thanks.

how many folds did they pinch??

5 fold is what i have been told to go by-

it will never be exact but close -- and that is good at 240 lbs

plus or minus 5-8% with calipers. it is just not accurate. It is better to just compare the skin site folds for a reference.

at 9.75 you should almost see abs.

Yea - 9.75 should be pretty damn lean.

It really doesn't matter how you measure body fat as long as you do it the same way every time. Your % is different for every person. It's like the scale 150 pounds on me looks different then on you. Its just a reference tool. The most important tool is the mirror. Its all about cut and abs

It's f'n excellent, for anyone, and phenomenal for a 37 yr. old at that weight.

Below 10 I get hint of abs, and lean all over, although for whatever reason never get veiny in the least, yet, well defined and definitely cut.

On some folks at 10 they looked shredded.

All in all, Timber said it best.

                  good luck & be glad
