I think ever since Creed came out with their music and all the undertones of Christianity that was in their lyrics alot of bands have gone that route! Regardless of what you sing about...if I like the music I will more than likely get the cd!Originally posted by YellowJacket
Yea, its odd that a lot of rock Im into these days have roots in Christian rock, Further Seems Forever is another favorite band and they are rooted in Christian rock....

If they sound anything remotely similar to Creed then I'll pass on that crap.Originally posted by bad14u

Clutch? Aren't they one of those jam/stoner bands?Originally posted by blm
I dl'd the new Anberlin cd and so far I can't say I like it. I stick to Clutch.
Nevermind.....I just listened to some of their stuff off the new album...pretty heavy with some good grooves and riffs!Last edited by bad14u; 05-02-05, 10:39 AM.

You could probably say that. Their lyrics are crazy....great story tellers and killer musicians and incredibly original....something the current music scene seriously lacks!Originally posted by bad14u

 To say the least....just read the beginning of their biography on the website!Originally posted by blm
....great story tellers !
Imagine our solar system as a barnyard dance. You sneak off for a cold beer and you stand there on Pluto, the last planet, as the ritual unfolds before you. A great fire burns from the center. Planets circle the fire, one ring outside the next, nine deep with moons to spare. Solar flares and asteroids pass between the dancers like drunken kids. Distant pulsars roar like warring cousins. You listen and each planet’s sound is unique. Some rotate slowly – others are fast. Some drift in harmony and others wage sonic battle. The cosmic rotations emit notes, beats, and songs. Humphrey Bogart’s voice booms across deep space: “Stop it, you know what I want to hear.” The celestial hoedown is renewed – a new Clutch record is born.

Florida rock band. I wrote a review of the first album w/ my old roomate. Blueprints for the black market had some good rock anthems - “Readyfuels” and “Change The World (Lost Ones)” solid bass, drumming, and guitar work. Not bad at all. Stephens vocals are comparable to Jimmy Eats World at times, then a bit darker like tools/APCs Maynard James Keenan. The bands rockin sound is closer to P.O.D/Flaw/Chevelle. Pop-rock ballads. Ill have to check out the new album.
I wouldn't compare them to Creed whatsoever.
Check out the song Ready fuels:

Definitely sounds like Jimmy Eat World, Sum 41, and Thompson Twins and pretty much any other cookie cutter pop band, but there is absolutely no comparison to Maynard in anything that I heard.Originally posted by NYCmitch25
