  • Sad news, IFBB pro has died..

Don Youngblood, IFBB Masters Mr O has died at 51. He won the masters Mr.O just 3 years ago. From what I know of Don, he was a really good guy who loved his family and the sport of bodybuilding. He died of a massive heart attack in his sleep.

    To damn young.

Don actually gave me some dieting advice about 2-3 years ago. I did not know him at all and he was very happy to give me some tips and tricks. Thats the kinda guy he was. He was also a million air many times over. He had his own trucking buisness that was very succesfull. A good guy all around.

Sorry to hear that. Do you know if he had a family history of heart disease?

Steroids will cause enlargement of the left ventrical which can eventually lead to heart failure. This is especially true with large doses and concomitt HGH use. I wonder if we will start seeing more of these cases now that the "high dose" generation of BB's is getting a little older. I hope not.

Im not sure bro but im sure in some way or the other that steroids did play a role in his early death.

Yeah, people don't usually just die at 51 years old. He was still pretty young and looked awesome. Lots of accomplished BB's seem to have heart trouble or die young.

Poor guy, I was a fan of his, RIP

Hopefully this will open some eyes for some people that take very high doses of certain steroids.

                          Rest in Peace, man.

I pray the same fate doesn't await many of the pros who abused roids during the peak of their careers.
