Yeah i havent had a Drink in 3 weeks, Last night was a big test i went to the bar with my girlfriend and her 2 friends, and i paid for their drinks and watched them drink without even having one. I wasnt an alcoholic at all, i would just drink on the weekends. I felt like my working out and eating for the week went to absolute shit after one night of drinking.....Ive already put on 4 lbs and im leaner and looking really diesel....Ill post up some pics in a few weeks. By the way i am 20 years old, so drinking is the thing to do...But my physique is just more important at this moment....That is all :D

Right on bro, I've been out with bros that just down pitcher after pitcher of beer, too much. I don't even bother drinking since doing AAS, and now that I'm "off" liver values are slightly elevated so I don't plan on drinking for a while

It is hard until you feel yourself going somewhere. It is hard to quite and there are always underlying problems when you feel the need to get smashed. You probably do have a form of addiction that you won't relize until your habbits change. I heard people say it all the time, but never really saw what they were talking about until I found others ways to feel good. I wasn't being told about this becuase I had some huge drinking problem, but I did drink to much. It was a cause for concern by my family and friends that they were just trying to give me advice before it turned bad, but I wasn't at a point where they had to start lecturing me. The most has happened over the last 9 months. I may have a few drinks every few weeks. I can still feel the addiction to the alcohol at times, but I now have it under control. Since I don't drink but more on a rare occasion now, that few drinks will make me feel as drunk as when I use to binge drink on the weekends. I am lucky enough to have a great support group around me that I don't want to mess up. I would like to challenge you to go 1 month without drinking a drop. I mean without a sip of a beer or anything. Let yourself feel the alcohol addiction pull at you and get a feel for fighting it. This will let your mind get nice and clear and help you to evaluate things. Trust me when I tell you that you will be counting the days until that month ends just to let loose. I don't mean for you to do this as a way to fix anything. I don't know your situation. But I do know you won't see how alcohol affects your life until you give yourself a chance to really see your life without it. It's a humbling expierence and you can really find out alot about yourself.

Shibby, I think that was a very good post, and yes I would say I have a very addictive personallity. This is true for drinking, and other things such as lifting. The thing is that Idont touch a sip of liquor during the week, and dont even think about it. All I think aout is work, lifting, running, and trying to consume protien. You r absolutly correct with saying you wont know until its too late when it comes to drinking. Theysay 3/4 of your liver cells have to stop working befor you see signs of cirrosis, or even a fatty liver. At this time I am declining your challenge, this damn nice weather makes me want to kick back and enjoy. However I will take you up on it in the future. I appreciate your concern, makes me realize one more time why this is the best site on the net.

Just to add to the end, I was the same way during the week. Drank so much on the weekends that it would hold me until the next. But when I skipped a weekend (which I'm sure you have) the following weekend would most of the time be a worse binge. You sound very much like I was, so I'm not worried. But the reality is still there and when you decide to give it a try, let me know.

I was never a big drinker and I don't think I ever will be. Last night I went out and probably had a total of 6-8 drinks over 6 hours. And in between each drink I have a glass of water (yeah I run to the bathroom about three hundered times during the night, lol). I mostly drink wine now at nights. But I congratulate anyone who stops a vice they have that they believe is holding them back. Moderation is the key. Just like steroids.

Good thread. Makes me remember how much I drank when I was younger. I don't drink at all now, and it can be awkward when poeple look at you funny because you don't have a beer in your hand and all of them do. But a body without alcohol can be a real healthy thing, for some of us more than others. Chemistry has alot to do with it, and as Shibby said, addicition factors in it, too.

:agree: Great thread! I wasn't a big drinker during the week but on weekends I would binge.......then I got a DUI! Since then the weekends have been tame and I feel much better...not sleeping til 3or4 in the afternoons on weekends. I have been off probabtion for a while but just haven't felt the need to go party, plus the fact that I have a son now, I would rather spend the time with him. I do have a beer or two when we grill out and that happens once a week so 2 beers a week isn't bad considering what I used to put down in one night!
