What the hell? G4TV?

Back when I got my first computer I used to watch a station on cable called techtv. It had a show called "The Screen Savers" "Call for help" and a few other shows that were geared towards newbies to the computer world. I actually really liked The Screen Savers and remember a guy on there named Leo something. The show was pretty entertaining.

Anyway, im sitting here bored scrolling threw my 10 million channels and decided to see whats on that channel. To my surprise its now called G4TV and all the old shows are no longer. Its all about video games and shit. Im not sure why but I really am kinda pissed. What happened to my old friends that taught me a thing or 2 about how to work a computer??

TechTv was bought out, they still had all the regular shows, but afew new ones (X-Play, Cinematech).. Over time, the gaming shows had better ratings, so that explains the old shows goin' bye-bye.. Screen Savers still comes on, but it's more like gadgets to play games on, new cellphones..

I liked the old TechTv too, at the time I was gettin' ready for my A+ certification, so I watched that channel alot..

screen savers isnt even on anymore bro. i even went to the website and screen savers is canceled. its replaced with a show called attack of the show or some dumb shit. techtv used to have alot of tech news with stocks and so on. this new channel sucks ass.

I did notice Screen Savers was off, must've been recent, no? I remember maybe a month ago watching, they were talkin' about a new Motorola for Nextel, the i860 I think.. And, they were showing ways to hack into the PC version of Doom3 to change certain things in the game, like you could make the zombies wear G4 t-shirts and other weird stuff.. :agree:

Yeah pissed me off also, i change me channel selections so that I can have TechTV, because they kept moving the channel around and putting it with cable packages I did not have and did not want to pay for. Finally got the channel go to put in on one and the channel was changed again with the new name. I hate all the video game playing crap they have on there. It is a waste of time to me, just go play the damn game who wants to hear idiots on there talking about it all the time. There is absolutely no good shows on the channel anymore. Then on top of that they have all these Anime shows that are just as worthless.
