It's a combination of acting, viagra, imagination and physical stimulation.

Just like when you see 2 chicks kissing, they're not always lez or bi, they're acting the part to get attention, these guys act the part for money. Viagra gives them the wood they need to perform. Imagination and physical stimulation is what enables them to get off, just like some people use their fantasies when they're with someone they're not relaly into in order to help them get off, the straight guys will be thinking of some chick that turns them on, so that plus the physical stimulation, you've got the moneyshot.

There are a lot of straight women who do lez porn. It's a lot easier for women to fake this stuff but still, just because they act the part it does not mean they're truly into it, therefore it does not define their sexuality.

When the money is enough, some people don't have a problem with it. It's simply a job to them.

Ahem . . . if I may. This is a lengthy reply, so please bear with me!

I don't know if any of the other posters on this board (or this thread) are gay, but I am, and I've been involved with gay porn (in lots of ways -- but not appearing in any! That wouldn't be pleasant for anyone, gay or straight!) Those that have said that the pay is better in gay porn are right. A top gay porn "star" can get upwards of $2,000 to $3,000 (or more, if you're a big enough star -- pun definitely intended) per "pop" (that's per cum scene). So, if a gorgeous and built straight guy needs some ready cash, I think it's only natural that he think about this angle.

Shibby, your assumption that it's the *stimulation* that's the important thing in doing something like this is completely correct. It IS pleasurable (maybe not in the usual sexual way for most straight gusy). For instance, in college, I was engaged to a beautiful, sweet woman that I loved very much. I really, truly, honestly loved her; nonetheless, the whole time I was homosexual (not bisexual -- homosexual) -- not a choice, nothing I could do about it. During the dating and engagement, we had sex like any other straight couple. It was good sex, too -- physically. Any time Little Willy got excited was great and he did his job admirably. But, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, it was a very different story (and that, I believe, is where the actually dividing line between gay or straight/bisexuality comes in. The sex, the orgasm, was physically mindblowing and incredible. But, ultimately it was all hollow and dead. But I'd been raised a good churchgoer and was taught that you grew up, got a good job, got married, and banged out the kids, so I did my duty.

We proceeded with the marriage plans and I came very close to marrying her, but, in loving her so much, I couldn't lie to her about my sexuality: I was gay. So the marriage was called off, not without major trauma on both sides.

Let me point out here, BBAddict, that, for most gay men, the thought of sex with women (without intending any disrespect for women) grosses them out in exactly the same way that sex with men would sicken you. In porn, it's all about the PHYSICAL stimulation. There are several major straight bodybuilders who do (or have done) gay porn. And they ARE truly straight. Each of them develops his own tricks to get it up and keep it up, most just imagine doing it to their girlfriends or wives or whatever. One of these guys (who's such a "catch" for the gay porn world that he's given a lot of leeway that wouldn't normally be tolerated for other, "lesser" physiques) actually has a women on set who fluffs him (i.e., gives him head) until he's hard and then the guy does his business with the other guy(s). But this technique is VERY rare.

Columbia University did a study where both gay and straight men were tested; the deal was that the lucky few selected knew they were going to get a blowjob, but none of them knew which sex would be giving them head. They knew that there was a 50/50 chance of either sex blowing them. The subjects were blindfolded, and their hands restrained so that there would no chance they could tactilely sense what sex their "giver" was (also, great care was taken as to bodily scents, etc.). When the time came (as it were), 87% or gay men were able to get erect and an astonishing 80% of straight men were able to get it up -- the results were that, statistically, more male blowers were paired up with the straight men than with the gays (who, of course, has females do them). The pre-test assumptions were that the straight men were so terrified of getting blown by another guy that a very low percentage would be aroused, not just to cum, but to even get hard. The 80% skewered the curve beyond recognition. One of the resulting "facts" was that men just like their penises to get some action -- regardless. So, in a way THAT'S how the straight guys do it. Getting paid very well for plowing a (let's face it, very buff) set of male glutes, or getting blown by a (let's face it, again, a very, very expert) gay man isn't the Bataan death march some might make it out to be. Also, let's not forget, there are lots of gay porn guys doing some straight stuff. And I'm referring to both COMPLETELY STRAIGHT and COMPLETELY GAY men -- not bisexual, in this case, as you might infer from someone doing a same-sex partner. That's a whole other kettle of ... er, fish.

The bodybuilding world is FULL of gay-for-pay situations. Nobody (officially) will admit this, but we all know it's true. We all know the pro BB world is a rough one and VERY EXPENSIVE. No contract with a supplement or clothing company will be able to pay someone what they need to maintain their body and muscle size. Other arrangements have to be made. I'm not saying that a majority of the pros (or even the serious amateurs) do this, but IT IS DONE BY SOME. If I may drop this hint, I, personally, know of three major pros who have arrangements with gay men in this way. They coldn't make it financially otherwise

Stonecold is right: it's all about the money. And SloppyJo hits the nail on the head: it's their job. It's not pretty for some to hear, but the truth is, very seldom, all rosy and wonderful. And Pheonix782, your friends have really expensive tastes!

There are many other facets of the situation here (such as "straight = BEING sucked or FUCKING a guy & gay = SUCKING or BEING fucked by another guy", but I'll spare you. I'd love to hear thoughts on this. And, if anyone has any questions or is still confused by any of this, I may be able to -- ah -- straighten you out a bit.

Pecster, I couldn't have imagined getting a better explination. A few others thought it was weird that I was interested. I personaly don't get affraid, scared, a blind eye or what ever you want to call to things that I don't know. I actually get very curious. I just have one question about something near the end. You talked about straight guys having a gay guy in his ass. How common is this. Do more of the straight guys leave it at oral or only THEM doing another guy?

Just my two cents but that study referenced above had to have been a little skewed. First of all any male who agrees to a 50/50 chance of having another male give him oral is less than straight. And it's just my opinion but it doesn't matter if you're giving or receiving, at any time you're having sexual relations of any sort with someone of the same sex.....you're homosexual. And as far as not being gay if you are the giver.....by that logic it's not beastiality if you're screwing the pooch, just don't let him screw you?
