      shows about having a questionably homosexual children bother me. And king of the hill is just as bad as Walker Texas ranger in terms of making Texans look like redneck jokes worldwide. Im not a fan

        I think it's pretty funny. I actually went to middle school and highschool in the town it is based off of. Arland, Texas is where the show is. The writer is from Garland, Texas where I grew up. It is pretty good at showing what it was like in part of it. Not so much the newer development where I lived but alot of other places. Alot of my friends families fit into the different characters.

            and stop complaining about the texas redneck jokes. everybody gets that. hell any time anyone turns on the tv and it has anything to do with New Jersey its always mafia, sapranos, traffic, or italain jokes. do you think i get pissed about it? lol. no i laugh at it.

                Great show. I got turned onto it from the Barenaked Ladies song they did for the show. Wound up buying the damn soundtrack cd. LOL

                    The Simpson's is another great show.

                    I got it (the first 3 yrs. boxed set collection) for the family for Christmas 2 yrs. ago. I don't think it's appropriate for younger children though and even some of the stuff that I see now shocks me when I watch it with my teenage daughter. Great characters and commedy, especially in the first few yrs. It was a treat to catch during the Tracy Ulman Show yrs. ago.
