My daughter decided she wanted to have a little party since school is out and about 25 kids came over tonight. For the last 45 minutes they've been blasting an Evanessance video I got her last year and I'm soooo thankful we have similar tastes in music.

I've had to keep a watchful eye with the kids in the hot tub and playing a little truth or dare but all in all, the kids have been well behaved. The boys had to leave by midnight and most of the girls are sleeping over. Stromba kept guard upstairs while my g/f and I kept the kids in check downstairs. It's so funny to watch them interact, things are a lot different from when I was their age yet some things never change. My daughter pulled off all the liquor from our bar, put it in a locked room and replaced it with cans of soda. And in the spirit of Napoleon Dynamite we had TOTS!

Now that the boys are gone the girls are all digging into the ice cream, sharing the same big container...oh to be young again!

Stromba took a vallium. LOL His patience level is a lot lower than mine.

I love having the kids over. I'd much rather them hang out here where I can keep an eye on them. They're pretty comfortable with me so I get to know a lot more of what's going on than most of their parents.


And yes, I'm in Florida. The rains tonight didn't ruin the party. They took the Twister mat out into the yard and played in the rain. LOL
