Oh by the way he won the first title from Trevor Berdick...Who was a manufactured champ...Meaning he never beat anyone for it.

Smith held on to TYSON the whole fight bro...lucikly he got away with it...nowadays he would be disqualified...it's a non-combative posture

If you look back through history from fighters like TYSON....DEMPSEY MARCIANO...and FRAZIER. All those guys retired at the age of 32 and they were at the end of their rope. A "puncher" has to put more effort into fighting and their training is maniacil....A "boxer puncher" like LEWIS or ALI lasted a little longer and were great.

It's not that they were not good fighters....all these guys were scared to death of him. When he was in his prime he would use his jab a lot more and when someone jabbed him he would slip and counter right away...he wouldin't just slip, slip, slip. That's what the original training from Cus D'amato taught him.

Punch maybe, but never dance...he always had a terrible defense.

He was not a boxer but a brawler. That's what scared a lot of opponents or potential opponents. He was heavily muscled and had a low center of gravity so he would put his head down and came in right at you whether you were punching or not. With his power, he only needed to connect once for the big knockout.
