This will be your toughest summer being the first one in the south. As time goes by you'll become more accustomed to it. Plus when you get old like me you can't take the cold and the heat actually feels good. Ever notice how old people keep their houses really warm?

I thought that was because on social security they can't afford to run the A/C! I have an aunt in Titusville and she won't let you touch the thermostat. Keeps it around 80 in the house. I won't go and visit her anymore down there because I can't sleep in a warm house in the summer! Whenn she comes here and bitches about the house being to cold I just give her a bunch of extra blankets!Originally posted by PuddlesEver notice how old people keep their houses really warm?

Not all of Canada is cold. LOL
About 10 yrs. ago I went to PA for a family reunion at the beginning of July. The day of the reunion it was unbearable and of course it had to be outside. Later that day I found out it was 98 in PA yet FL was the coldest state in the country in the 80's. Weird how stuff like that happens sometimes.
BTW, yesterday when we were driving, Stromba's thermometer said it was 97. Maybe it was just because we were on the road but damn, that's hot! Right now I'm in the office and I've had the window open for the last couple of hours and it's comfortable and the a/c isn't on at the moment.
The one thing I don't like about summer is having to keep the windows closed most of the time. I usually keep the master bathroom window open a couple of inches all the time though, I gotta have some fresh air getting into the house.
