Computer microphone

I have a 8400 dell series...any idea what type of mic I would use and how to hook it up? thanks for any help guys and girls

I don't see why you couldn't just get a USB one and plug it in. It should be that easy, the USB can only go into one slot... so you can't stick it in the wrong one.

I figured the one that came with my PC would work...but it doesn't. are there other brands besides dell's which is 90 bucks.
