  • Help from you bros please

I don't really know enough about anxiety, I've had some very severe panic attacks this past year that I've never delt with before. This past week alot of shit has gone down, I feel very very jittery and I'm considering going to my doctor about it. My question is those of you who have ever delt with any of these symptoms and taken medication/councelling what has been the result? I'm trying to handle this as well as I can but the thought of being on more medication depresses me, I don't want to be a walking chemical (unless it's test :) lol). Any thoughts would be appreciated guys

Go to a counselor and talk to them. Let them diagnose the problem and prescribe what you may need, if anything. Never had panic attacks myself but good luck Bro!

It's weird how hard it is to actually go see a counselor, I know I should but I'm terrified to for some reason man.

I think you just need to realize what is causing the problem and try to cut it out of your life or take care of it so it dosent keep doing this to you. You come first bro.

well I've never really been able to figure that out bro, I can tell you right now that up until 10 minutes ago I didn't know if my g/f was pregnant and that was freaking me out (she's not thank God), but they just happen randomly man. I'm aware that people make a huge deal, like in classrooms I start sweating bullets and freak out, I missed like 75% of my classes last year because of that. But I'm very social and outgoing, it's fucked.

Try some supplements like chocamine and rhodiola rosea. These have gotten some good reviews from people with problems like yours. Hopefully they'll help you so you won't feel like a walking drug.

I'd advise going to see a doctor. They can help you reason out what is affecting you and also give you medication for decreasing anxiety, if needed. It is hard to do, but once you do it, you'll be glad you did. Just make sure you don't rely on medication cause it's an easy way out that can lead down a bad road.

I learned about this in school bro....a lot of people have this 3rd most common health problem after depression. You should not feel any less of a person. Bouncer is right you need to find out what's causing it...there is medication like SSRI's, SSNRI's, and so forth that will help keep things calm and balanced. Definetily go to the doc. We're here for you bro :)

Going to a counsellor is hard the first time but once you get in there you'll probably wonder why you didn't do it earlier. They can help give you the skills you need to deal with the stress as well as find a good medication to help you until you can deal with it alone. Good luck!
