They just won't let it go. Such assholes. Where were these questions 15 years ago if they were sooo concerned then? I'm so sick of this crap! The family lost the case several times in a recognized court of law, lost legal appeals and now they just want to get their pound of flesh some other way. Guess what? The father and mother only sued the husband when he refused to give them money from Terri's trust fund. It's all in the court trial public records but you don't hear THAT on the nightly news. He kept it protected from them and that's when they made the whole thing an issue. The money instead went towards Terri's medical and legal bills. It pissed off the father that he couldn't get it so this bullshit legal battle began and lasted for years, culminating in the events of this past year with Terri's death. Now years later, they want to see if they can somehow work an angle to try to implicate the husband in her collapse so that they can then bring a civil lawsuit (where the legal burden of proof is MUCH lower than in criminal cases) against the husband for the money that they felt that they deserved from Terri's misfortune. Fucking pigs! And Jeb is just trying to keep up his support base for the evangelical right wingers so that he can make a presidential run soon. God, this crap just makes me sick!

I can't believe anyone could be stupid enough to challange the results of the autopsy. I can cut the parents a little slack; their love for their daughter has obviously clouded their judgement and I can forgive that. For Governor Bush to challange it though is just unbelievably stupid.
Before her death, brain scans had shown that significant portions of her brain no longer existed and had been replaced by CNS fluid. WHen they physically opened this poor woman's skull, they found her brain had atrophied to HALF it's normal size. The vision centers in her brain were long dead; i.e. she was blind (I guess she couldn't have been following that balloon with her eyes after all, eh?). She was incapable of taking either food or water by mouth as her parents wanted to do after the feeding tube was removed. Furthermore, she was suffering from severe osteoporosis which convincingly explained the several fractures she sustained. Simply moving her or rolling her over to avoid bed sores could result in a fracture. The autopsy found no evidence of stranglation or any other physical abuse. This counters that quack who was saying that she was strangled and that was the original reason for her collapse. It also counters the parents' claims that Michael abused Terry on a regular basis.
All of this and more was proven beyond all doubt by physically removing, weighing, and dissecting her brain. These things are no longer theories; they are cold, hard facts. Bill Frist in the senate (to his credit) is even satisfied with the veracity of the autopsy results and he was one of the main guys in the senate who pushed that stupid legislation through in an attempt to get her feeding tube re-inserted. he called his attemps "a mistake".
SHE LOST FULLY HALF HER BRAIN!! There is no recovering from that massive of a loss of neurons. It simply isn't possible with ANY amount of therapy or treatment. She was the DEFINITION of persistent vegetative state.
I hope Michael Shiavo sues the living shit out of the parents and Governor Bush for slander and libel. For 15 years, they have said horrible things about him and ruined his name and endangered he and his family's lives. They should be made to publically pay for that.

reminds me of the south park making fun of this entire case...... kenny falls into a coma much the same as terri... then a big fight ensues over if they should remove the feeding tube.
at the end of the episode the find kennys living will which states.... "if i ever fall into a vegitative state, please for the love of god do not show me on national television as a vegitable"...... talk about dragging terri schievos dignity through the mud.
