water bottle have became popular here, here in texas i was watching the news theres shitloads of companies selling them now. A dollar, a dollar 25, too pricey. We just go to those places where u fill a huge 5 gallon tank with 1.00 dollar, good purified water.

The sad part....I'll never get that 5 minutes of my life back again after reading the "water wars" portion of this thread. lol.

Didi you know that Dasani/Coca-Cola has some MAJOR problems in Europ right now? Check this out. From Quench:
"LONDON/ATLANTA (Reuters) - Coca-Cola Co. KO.N on Friday recalled its Dasani bottled water product in Britain after tests showed the recently launched drink contained levels of a potentially harmful chemical above legal standards.

The world's largest soft drink maker said it expected to complete its voluntary recall of about 500,000 bottles of Dasani from store shelves in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland within 24 hours.

Coca-Cola said it began the recall after consulting with Britain's Food Standards Agency on Thursday, one day after the company's tests confirmed unexpectedly high levels of bromate in samples of British-produced Dasani.

Long-term exposure to bromate, a non-metallic salt, has been linked to a higher risk of cancer. Britain's food watchdog called Coca-Cola's recall "sensible" and noted that there was no immediate risk to public health."


and even more importantly....

"Coca-Cola, which launched Dasani in Britain in January, was recently criticized after disclosing that the British version of Dasani was in fact treated and purified tap water -- a practice not uncommon in the bottled-water industry."


Get a Brita tapwater filter and save your cash for your girl to blow on shoes :P

I don't like Dasani. We get Zephyrhills delivered to the house, 5 cases of 24 oz. sports bottles for the upstairs fridge and work, and 2 or 3 5 gallon jugs for the cooler in the kitchen. Our tap water tastes horrible even if it's filtered and most other waters taste like the plastic jug they come in. We get deliveries every 3 weeks. Even the cat drinks filtered water.

My car's on empty now, so it'll be about $30 to fill it but I usually only have to fill the tank once every 2 weeks.
