I always prefer a gas stove. Controled heat and you don't have to warm it up. Cooks better.

controlled heat? it burns everything, there is no such thing as "Simmer" with a gas stove. I want a nice flat top electric really.

NO YOU DONT!!! Flat tops are the worst. ever spilled anything on a flat top? ever burnt anything on a flat top? ever placed your hand on a flat top because you dont know that its on? they are the worst bro. i have spent hours and hours scraping and cleaning a flat top over the smallest of things. thats no BS either bro, ask any kitchen expert and they will tell you that gas is by far the best to cook on. flat top is by far the worst. dont make that mistake bro.

That's where the quality of pans come in. Set the fire on low heat and with a good pan that distributes the heat it works great. One of the biggest mistakes people make with cooking is using old or bad cookware.

I must be weird...I grew up on electric...and my parents have a nice flat top now...I know it takes extra care but i have hated gas stoves for the last 6 years i have been in aptartments.
