I'd like to get a fridge freezer that look like closet doors and match with cabinets. I know someone who has this and it looks bad ass.

I can't wait till the day comes when I get to start thinking about things like this. The kitchen will be all me.....I guess when you get into the bodybuilding scene the kitchen area starts to mean so much more!

Agreed! This happens everytime I make rice; the steam drips over on the burner smells like burned hair! Plus the electric don't stay level for very long so your pans end up leaning to one side. Stick to gas buddy; trust me.

Do you cook, lol....gas stoves are the best way to control cooking...why do you think you never see an electric stove in a restaurant. ;)

:agree: Electric stoves take way too long to heat up/cool down so it's really hard to control the temp. I rented an apartment with electric stove for awhile while my house was being built and couldn't wait to get back to a gas stove!

That pro 48 fridge is so beautiful that it brought a tear to my eye.

I'd go with a professional gas range as well. Also, dual stacked ovens, and a top-of-the-line diswasher. Everything stainless steel.

Of course, that covers the kitchen, but we can't neglect the backyard:

and something to do legit slow-smoked BBQ on the weekends:

SERIOUSLY!! All you manly men are talking about is KITCHEN appliances!! WTF!! You sound like a bunch of old housewives!! LMAO!!

And SC- if you are building your house and closing next week, are you telling me that the fridge and the stove DON'T come w/ the house?? Are you telling me that appliances are extras? And, furthermore, if you are closing next week, shouldn't those things already be there?

you usually get basic appliances depending on if its a custom house and so on. most people want to upgrade though since there building a nice house they want nice appliances. our house comes with basic shit but we upgraded all our appliances to the tune of about 5-6k. but that goes into the mortgage so its not to bad.

Ahhh, that's nice to know. My wife and I will be building a home in the next two years and I don't have a clue about how it works. We are going to be spending $400k or more for our home, so, I need to start researching now before we get ripped off.

Know of any good books or some place I can read about how not to get screwed?
