I just re-read Ken Dryden's "The Game" for the 4th or 5th time over the weekend. It is one of my favorite sports books of all time, but I think in a lot of ways it transcends sports and is an autobiography of a wonderful human being.
Dryden is such a humble, modest and unassuming guy. I am amazed that he would just take the subway to get to the Forum on game days and with his glassses people wouldn't even recognize him.
Ken Dryden has to got to be a national treasure in Canada, like Edmund Hillary is in New Zealand.
