You seem very knowledgeable about these things...OK ive downloaded a full album.The whole album is one file.How can i seperate it into individual songs?

Sounds way too complicated to me. Just delete it and go back and download each song individually. Do a search with the album title and it should bring up all the songs.

Use a freeware program called Wave Repair (can be found at http://www.delback.co.uk/wavrep/). It will allow you to read in your large wav file and split it into individual tracks. You will then have 40 individual wav tracks.

Then, install a program called razorlame (do a google search for it). It is GUI front end for LAME (which is the MP3 encoder which you need to convert a wav to an MP3). Using this, you will be able to convert the wav files to mp3 files at whatever encoding level you want to use. I typically use variable bitrate encoding ( preset-standard in LAME).
