I didn't really think about this until IOC decision time, now I found out we won it its a very uplifting feeling, I hope we do a good job of hosting it and I think we owe thanks to those that initially voted New York, but when they got knocked out the same voters revoted for London or so its thought.

You guys in the US had it in LA in like 84 or something anyway.

They wanted it NY so bad. I remember seing all the commercials about it in the NY area. Then there would be commercials about how bad it would be for the city. Every other commercial was about the 2012 Olympics.

I think it will be better served in London anyway. NY just has no room for that kind of thing.

what do you mean by "bad now". NY can be a great place for events. it just that with the Olympics they would need to build more stadiums and such and there is just not room.

By bad now I mean the amount of people walking around. You add another 1,000,000 people at least for the Olympics and it would be chaos.
