  • Hurricane Dennis...

For those of you up in the Panhandle, be careful and keep an eye on this one over the weekend. They're expecting a cat. 3 or 4. Evacuate if you should.

here they come, damn storms just hope this season inst bad. Ive never lived through an actual hurricane but we got hit with the remnants of a hurricane, a tropical storm. Those are storms i would fear the most.

We just took a direct hit here in New orleans from Tropical Storm Cindy overnight on Monday. That was very scary. The wind was unbelievable. I can't imagine being hit by a Cat 3 or 4 hurricane. There would be no more city. Hopefully Dennis will not affect us, but I feel very sorry for those it does affect.

Just another reason to hang witht he Captain.

This is going to be a freaky bad season this year with most of the storms coming up from the caribean and through the gulf right to my back door. What is bad is I feel for the people living in Pensacola. If another big storm hits that city is going to be trashed as they haven't finished cleaning up from Ivan.

I know. :( A girl I talk to just got her home finished last month from last year's destruction.

The hurrican season being bad wasn't really an oddity last year, it was the beginning of it becoming regular. Apparently the season has been unusually quiet in recent years but it's gonna continue to pick up and be worse for a while now.

:dunno: Well....if you have done everything around the house for the hurricane and work is called off...what else is there to do? I know the gym will be closed so I can't go work out. Besides....my hurricane parties these days involve my son, so we will be playing with all of his toys and reading books!

155 mph is the start of a catagory 5! Looks like the path is predicted to go across the FL panhandle and also hit about half of the LA coast.
