I just don't get some of the parents around here. The most recent story was that a lady had went into walmart grocery shopping with her kids. She put the kids in the car while she loaded the grocieries in the trunk. When she finished she relized that one of the kids had locked the door and the keys are inside. First after reading this part, why the hell would your keys be in the car unless you have it started with the A/C running. Well anywas the lady went back into walmart to call the police to help open the car. The paper said that by the time the officer arrived the kids were having trouble breathing and the infant was unconcious. The two kids were taken to the hospital checked over and released. How in the hell can you just stand there and watch your kids suffer. With the temp going into the upper 90's most of the days I probably wouldn't even waste time calling the police. My foot would be through one of the car windows.

Could you imagine how terrified those kids must have become each minute....I hate people. I still don't understand how it seems like it's all the ignorant, nonproductive people who are the majority that are successful at breeding?!? And the loving, caring, intelligent, productive members of society have trouble conceiving a child and/or adopting. Uggghh............

I almost did it once i pulled into a parking spot next to a car with a little one inside I mean maybe 6 months old and I looked around to see if anyone was coming i looked into the car checked the doors and they were all locked i went into my truck grabbed my mag lite and was getting ready to bash the winndow when this stupid lady comes and yells at me. I said lady you don't leave your kids i the car when iot is 90 degrees out i told her she was lucky today I got her tag number and called the cops and let them know whhat happend but noy sure if they did anything .

Walmart...need anything else be said? LOL
First of all, you do not put your kids in the car while loading the trunk, someone can come and steal them.
You don't leave keys in the car while you're loading the trunk, someone can steal the car.
You don't leave kids and keys in the car, they can easilly turn on the car and put it into gear.
Buncha idiotic parents out there for sure.

And I will have to disagree on some of these.
I will turn on my car and get the a/c going so the car will cool down.
I will load my son up into his car seat and let him enjoy the a/c instead of the sweltering heat and sun.
I have a car clicker so I can lock and unlock the car while the key is in the ignition.
I guess if people were smarter than their automobiles things like this wouldn't happen.
Puddles....I am not saying that you are dumber than your ride, but the woman in the story was! :P

I HATE Walmart, it is a freak show there! My friend from Boston was down last weekend and our DVD player broke so we went to the only place open late at night and I warned her it was gonna be a trip. She said another friend of hers says the same thing. My friend had never been to a Walmart before. Of course, the toothless, hairy, barefoot, obese, smelly, men and women probably say the same thing when they see us in there.
Your car must really cool off fast if putting the baby in while you're loading keeps him cooler than being outside. It takes my car a few minutes to cool off. Do you have rear a/c vents?

It takes all types to make the world go round! And yes...they look at you and think you are a freak too! :POriginally posted by PuddlesI HATE Walmart, it is a freak show there!

As for the a/c my car does cool off pretty quick and plus Chase's car seat is in the middle of the back seat and my vents in the middle of the dash are pointed directly at him. With the a/c on high he is kept cool.
