  • Electronic Bug Interference

Has anyone used those electronic bug things that plug in and are suppose to keep bugs away from a certain radius? I am thinking I am going to have to get an exterminator for my ant problem in my new house. I have traps out and I spray outside where I see them congregate but its not stopping them. I think the big problem is the crappy deck and porch that is on the house which I will be tearing down and rebuilding but until then I need to get rid of these damn ants (which in turn will stop my wifes mouth :D )...thanks

We use them for mice at our hunting cabin. They really seem to work good. Never had a problem sice we started using them.

Well in the mean time if it's not raining go get about 4 of those containers of salt and run it around the house. It gets rid of ant hills nicely and will protect the house until you can get something more permanant.

Yea, anytime I see anthills I just pour a genourous amount fo table salt on them. It's cheap, Ant hill is gone within a day.

Carpenter ants....make sure that you don't have any rotted evergreen trees near the house. I had that happen. It sucked A LOT. We cut down the tree and pulled the stump and they got po'ed and moved to my neighbor's property. LOL.

We are being over run with millipedes. I swept up a few dozen of the little critters in my kitchen yesterday. My son runs around the house squashing them left and right. Makes quite a mess and they stink too.

I need to go to the store and get something to deal with them but I don't really know what to get. Someone suggested 7-dust. I guess I will try that.

Boric acid helps for sugar ants and roaches, maybe it would be of use for the millipedes.
