  • I need more Ipod help!

Well, the past month or so, my Ipod has really been acting up. A couple of times it all of a sudden started skipping, and now the battery won't last longer than a day.

So, I take it to the Ipod store on Sunday. He did some diagnostic business, and the hard drive is fine. SO, he tells me to download the latest software update. Well, I go to do that this evening, and all of a sudden the menu to do diagnostic check shows up and won't turn off. I try and reset, and NOTHING. I go back to the Ipod store and in a nutshell the little douche bag makes me feel like it's my fault. Says that unless he can PROVE something is wrong, he can't swap out the Ipod, and bets me that if I do the update, it will fix itself. I raise all kinds of hell after that, ask to talk to the mgr, etc. Of course, he's not there, and I storm the fuck out of there. My blood pressure was about to go into meltdown.

Anyway, I tell the little dork that I download the latest update, and it won't download to the Ipod. HE presses a couple of buttons and was just like "Look, I did it." FUCK - YOU.

Here's the problem, I download the software, and it tells me there is an error reading setup initialization file. Can someone help with this?

Mine would not play the songs I purchased from Itunes once. I have a car charger and a home charger so I don't hook it up to computer very often. After did that, it worked fine. They seem to be sensitive, kind of like a women. Just stroke it nice and it should be nice to you. :)

RS, I have no earthly idea how to diagnose hard drives on these new little gadgets. They are extremely complex. They make them that way, so you almost have to bring them in for a tech to fix. It's the way these company's make their back end profits. Like puddles said, you may have to very well go back to this guy for him to help you figure out the problem.

I got the ipod shuffle as a gift and it has worked beutifully for me. I just think this is such a new technology right now, and it's going to take a few years to work out the bugs and inconsistencies with these things.

Shut up...you know your ass will have one soon. Maybe not an ipod, but some type or form of an MP3 player. You will almost have to when Compact Discs as a media format become obsolete in favor of hard drive storage. The technology will become phenomenally better over time. Then I will come back and laugh at you Bounce for saying you are gonna stick with your $10 CD player.

30 years ago folks were saying that they were sticking with 8-tracks

10 years ago folks were saying that they were sticking with tapes
