  • Has anyone had a.....

....hemorrhoidectomy performed on them. A friend of mine is having this procedure done and was wondering about the recovery time. He has heard that the first 2 days is nothing but rest and up to 2 weeks before he can go back to doing normal things like working out and doing anything strenuous.

Thanks B!! I hope I get a few more responses and then I will call him and let him know. We have a vacation planned for Labor Day weekend up in New York and want to go do some hiking and shit. His surgery is on Aug 17, so we are hoping he can do some physical stuff by then.

I remember a friend who had it done and I don't think recovery was long at all but he did say it was a pain in the ass.

Have him check with his doctor on the hiking, don't want to risk anything openning up while on vacation.

Cory, I was being truthful, that is what our friend said!

I don't know how long it took him to heal but he's a baby when it comes to stuff like that (surgery, not anal stuff).

Following dr's orders are best, you don't want stitches there tearing open, that area can easilly get infected.

Ya. You wouldn't want to be hiking in the middle of the Catskills somewhere and tear an ass stitch! :cursin:
