  • Buffing a car.

Anyone have any tips . Ive got some pretty bad scratches and was going to try to buff them out. What is the best way to do it. Any advise? I dont want to screw the paint up anymore.

Try a lil rubbing compound and a damp cloth I've also used Turtle Waxs' colored wax with surprising results.

Just makes sure you use a good wax after the Colored Turtle Wax because that stuff DOES NOT repel water or protect your paint very well.

Use a 1500 or 2000 grit sandpaper if its just in the clearcoat...then buff out with the same type of rubbing compond that gets rid of the dullness from sanding. Then use a good wax after that.

What color is the car. If it's black, take it to a detail shop!!
