im in a personal health/wellness class this semester and we need to set a goal to begin
my goal is to gain between 10 to 20 pounds of muscle over the time i'll be rehabilitating my shoulder (its a baseball injury called internal infringement, i'm sure quarterbacks get it too)...it doesn't bother me a ton lifting weights except db raises...anyway, i'm going to begin rehab when my baseball playoffs end which will be within 3 weeks depending on how long we last
from the time i begin this rehab to the time i end i want the additional muscle (i will not be able to throw a baseball while rehabbing this shoulder)
when i go to the therapist would they have something handy to measure my initial muscle/fat weight ratio?
my teacher told me to use the weight and repetitions from my workouts to measure what muscle i gained when i asked her this question, but i'm regularly getting stronger. I'm also not going to be maxing out everytime i lift, i rarely max anyway to begin with.
in one sentence, can u measure the MUSCLE you gain from point A to point B
