Anyone good in excel or access? I have a columns of data that I need filtered or some type of query. for instance column a is company name, column b is a expiration date, column c is another expiration date and so on. I have a large worksheet filled with data like this.

what I need to be able to run some type of query or filter that will pull the company name and expiration dates with a date range I specify. For example I want to pull all data that expires from 8/23/05 to 9/1/05. this result should list the company name each expiration date within that range.

Is this possible with excel or is this an access thing?

:hmmm: I know this has nothing to do with bodybuilding, but I'm kind of stumped.

This will just sort the data for me. There are multiple items with various expiration dates. What I want is a report to be generated that pull the data according to the date range I specify. I'm working with an advanced filter right now, but I'm getting errors for my criteria.

:hmmm: You could use a PivotTable in Excel but it would definitely be easier and more accurate to use Access. I'm not very experienced with Access but it definitely sounds like a database would be a better tool for what you want to do. I think you can even import excel spreadsheets so you won't have to type all of that data over again. Anyway...good luck.
